The Global Alliance of Technological Universities was officially launched at Nanyang Auditorium, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, on 7 April 2009. An inaugural forum was held, where senior representatives of the Alliance discussed "The Role of Technological Universities in the 21st Century".
